Can a lease be signed electronically in Canada?
Yes, for most leases and agreements. Electronic signatures are recognized under the provincial electronic commerce acts. Some filings, such as land registration, have their own systems, and standard-form requirements differ by province, so check the rules where the property is.
Can a customer sign on my phone on site?
Yes. Open the document, choose in-person signing and hand the phone over. The certificate records that it was signed in person and who hosted it.
Can several tenants sign the same lease?
